As the fastest growing city in British Columbia, Mayor Dianne Watts and the City of Surrey have requested advice on how to incorporate data-driven strategies for targeting investments in early childhood education and health, with an aim to prevent the need for future expenditures in remediation and policing.

Dianne Watts Mayor of Surrey, Canada Dianne Watts was first elected as Mayor of Surrey in 2005 after serving 9 years on City Council. She is the city's first female mayor and was re-elected for her third term in 2011. Mayor Watts also serves as Vice-Chair of Canada's Big City Mayors' Caucus and Chair of Metro Vancouver's Port Cities Committee.
