Building on the city's MOVEPGH comprehensive transportation planning process, the IBM team examined ways to optimize current transportation systems and encourage multimodal journeys for commuters. The team recommended establishing a distributed traffic management center, empowering travelers with information and services about their commutes, promoting alternative modes of transit, coordinating governance and analysis of key transportation metrics, and expanding the ParkPGH program.
